Act-On Software is hiring a strategic, relationship-driven Business Development Manager to grow technology partnerships in the Financial Services vertical. In this onsite role in the United States, you will help identify the right FinServ ecosystem partners, shape joint value and go-to-market plans, and drive co-marketing and co-selling efforts that create new revenue pipeline for Act-On.
You will be responsible for turning ecosystem research into partner-ready opportunities and serving as the primary point of contact for new technology partners from early relationship building through ongoing collaboration across teams.
What youâll do
- Map the Financial Services technology ecosystem (including CRMs, CORE Banking, Loan Origination Systems, and related platforms) and assess which partners align best with Act-Onâs strategic direction.
- Act as the main point of contact for new FinServ technology partners, building trust with leadership, product teams, and partner sales teams through long, considered relationship cycles.
- Partner with Product and Marketing to define a âbetter togetherâ story for each integration, ensuring it connects with Credit Unions, Regional Banks, and Wealth Managers.
- Design and execute co-marketing and co-selling campaigns that generate qualified referral leads and bring new pipeline to the Act-On sales team.
- Educate partner sales and customer success teams on Act-Onâs capabilities and how to recognize and pursue joint opportunities.
- Represent the partner perspective internally, collaborating with API and Product teams to support seamless technical integrations.
- Represent Act-On at relevant Financial Services trade shows and industry events to build visibility and ongoing relationships.
What you bring
- 2+ years as an Investment Banking Analyst or Associate, or 4+ years in Strategic Partnerships, Business Development, or Corporate Development within enterprise SaaS, ideally focused on structuring technology integration partnerships in FinTech rather than traditional reseller or channel programs.
- Demonstrated ability to build partnerships from the ground up and manage complex, multi-stakeholder relationships over extended sales cycles, especially in regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of how platforms connect via APIs and integrations, particularly across martech or sales tech.
- Ability to align partner incentives with Act-On revenue goals and build a shared business case that both parties support.
- Exceptional skills in presentation, negotiation, and executive-level relationship building.
- Direct experience working in or selling into Financial Services, including Credit Unions, Regional Banks, Wealth Management/Financial Advisors, or Insurance.
- Familiarity with FinServ tech stacks such as specialized FinServ CRMs and vendors like Fiserv, Jack Henry, Symitar, Guidewire (or similar).
- Prior experience in the Marketing Automation space.
