Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities by engaging real estate agents, mortgage lenders, attorneys, builders, and other industry professionals.
- Grow an existing book of business while actively pursuing fresh client relationships.
- Guide closing transactions and provide superior customer service at the closing table.
- Build and sustain long-term relationships to drive repeat business and referrals.
- Educate clients on the benefits of title insurance, escrow services, and the closing process through Gateway Title.
- Conduct in-person meetings, networking events, and industry presentations to promote services.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth, seamless transactions.
- Monitor market trends, industry conditions, and competitor activity to refine sales strategies.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
- Partner with Branch/Sales Leadership and the Marketing Director to maximize growth and account penetration.
Requirements
- Sales experience in real estate, mortgage, or title insurance is required.
- Degree in business or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
- Proficiency with PC software, including Excel and Word; ability to learn new software or adapt to the company operating system.
- Willingness and ability to travel within a defined geographic area to call on existing and prospective clients.
- Preferred: knowledge of title insurance regulations and industry best practices.
Location and work arrangement
This is an onsite role based in a Gateway Title branch office in Bangor, ME. Hybrid or remote work options may be available depending on experience and territory. Travel up to 75 percent is expected for closings and events.
Compensation and benefits summary
The position offers a minimum base annual salary of $55,000, with uncapped commission potential that can significantly elevate earnings. Compensation varies by location and factors such as skillset and experience. The base salary represents one component of the overall rewards package.
