Job Description

Car Keys Express is seeking a Business Development Manager based in Bel Air, MD for an onsite role focused on expanding market share through new account growth. This position applies business judgment and sales expertise to help secure committed targets across a defined territory, partnering closely with sales leadership and internal teams.

The role coordinates with the Regional Sales Manager, Account Managers, and Inside Sales to identify leads, deliver consistent messaging, and drive deals to closure. Day to day, success is measured by maintaining active outreach, meeting weekly and monthly stop goals, and achieving new account wins and sales quotas.

What you’ll do

Achieve sales targets by growing the customer base of car dealerships, rental facilities, fleets, and other high-volume accounts for key replacement needs.
Present Car Keys Express to dealerships, fleet managers, and rental facilities.
Prospect for new business using the in-house CRM, Internal.
Log sales activity in Internal for every call, email, stop, and presentation.
Plan and coordinate daily travel to maximize in-person presentation activity.
Coordinate with the Regional Sales Manager and Inside Sales to ensure committed targets are closed on time.
Participate in bi-weekly sales meetings via the Zoom app.
Complete onboarding and ongoing training, and learn CKE selling points to maintain consistent messaging across regions.
Maintain daily communication cadence by touching base with assigned Regional Sales Manager every day and with the Territory manager/Assistant Territory Managers weekly.
Drive in-person selling activity with 50 sales stops per week, including 40 stops at prospective customers.
Secure at least 5 new accounts (“Wins”) per week and meet or exceed established sales quotas.
Spend 10 days per month making sales stops outside the home territory.
Work within a home territory defined as within 50 miles from residence.

Qualifications

Confident, positive, and self-motivated sales professional with a 5+ years minimum experience level.
Ability to move leads efficiently through the sales funnel to a close.
Highly professional, knowledgeable, and able to effectively represent the CKE brand.
Business acumen and strong situational awareness during unique sales presentation settings.
Ability to pre-plan cold calls to maximize effectiveness.
Clear oral and written communication, with a focus on professionalism and discretion.
Maintain team culture with all employees and demonstrate strong judgment and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize, organize, and work independently.
Ability to travel 50% of the time.
5-8+ years of sales experience; automotive industry experience preferred.
Proven success in outside sales, business development, and cold calling.
Expertise in developing new accounts and strong knowledge of B2B sales processes.
Employee-focused attitude with professionalism.
