Job Description

The Territory Business Development Representative for Vista Pathology Laboratory, LLC is a field-based role focused on nurturing existing client relationships while expanding the laboratory’s business through new customer acquisition. The position combines regular physician office visits, education and support, and coordinated communication between healthcare partners and internal laboratory teams.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and strengthen current business by supporting existing clients and expanding Vista Pathology’s footprint by obtaining new clients.
Help clients understand the full potential of laboratory services and communicate value clearly.
Conduct regular visits to physician offices and healthcare facilities. Meet with physicians and clinical staff to provide education and support, identify client needs, and introduce new testing and services.
Ensure clients receive responsive, exceptional service through consistent follow-up and effective relationship management.
Act as a key liaison between clients and the laboratory, communicating effectively with physicians, practice administrators, nurses, medical assistants, laboratory personnel, and administrative staff.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Science or Associate’s degree in the health care field.
Knowledge and technical understanding of pathology laboratory workflow, histology, cytology, molecular diagnostics, and laboratory information systems/EMR.
Computer literacy with experience in data entry, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including comfort giving presentations.
Ability to travel 80% of the time within the company’s service areas.
Comfort communicating directly with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Excellent driving record and a reliable vehicle.
Ability to pursue sales calls, provide timely follow-up, and close the sale.
Exceptional customer service skills and entrepreneurial selling skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Two years of successful laboratory sales or medical field experience preferred.
Sales or marketing experience: 1 year (preferred).

Work Schedule

Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Overtime may be required on occasion.

Work Location

In person, Medford, OR (onsite).

Physical & Work Requirements

A combination of office-based administrative work and regular travel to physician offices and healthcare facilities.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the workday.
Regular driving to client locations.
Ability to carry and transport laboratory supplies weighing up to 25 pounds.
Occasional bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying of supplies or materials.
Ability to work effectively in medical offices and healthcare environments.
Maintain professional conduct and appearance while representing Vista Pathology in the community.

Compensation & Pay

$24.00 - $30.00 per hour.
