What you’ll do
In this Director of Business Development role (Washington, IN, remote), you will focus on winning PBM business by identifying the right prospects and executing effective sales strategies. Your work will span outbound research, consultative conversations, collaboration with management, and deal closing across brokers, TPA’s, captives, and employer groups.
- Research and identify potential sales targets within your assigned territory.
- Consistently network and outreach to accounts, building strong relationships.
- Use a consultative sales approach to understand customer needs and address potential barriers.
- Collaborate with management to develop short- and long-term sales action plans.
- Maintain sales reports and logs to keep management informed and engaged.
- Attend educational meetings, seminars, and networking events to stay current on industry trends.
- Support occasional evening and weekend travel for events, demonstrating commitment to company goals.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or four to ten years of related experience and/or training.
- 3+ years of outside B2B or medical sales experience with a proven record of success.
- Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel as needed.
Preferred
- Previous PBM insurance sales experience.
- PBM industry knowledge and/or established relationships within the field.

This position is 100% work remote, with expectations of in-office time as needed for meetings and trainings.
