Job Description

LVI Associates is building commercial traction in one of the fastest-growing areas of digital infrastructure. As Head of Business Development in San Francisco, you will focus on securing data center capacity offtake agreements so commitments are in place before facilities are delivered, using relationships that already exist across hyperscalers, frontier AI companies, and cloud providers.

This is a customer-facing, executive role that blends origination, structuring, and negotiation of large-scale transactions, alongside close coordination with internal teams to align development with real demand.

Responsibilities

Build and execute the commercial strategy for securing capacity offtake agreements.
Use existing relationships with hyperscalers, AI labs, and cloud providers to generate immediate pipeline activity.
Originate, negotiate, and close large-scale data center capacity transactions.
Lead commercial discussions covering powered shell, colocation, and AI infrastructure solutions.
Partner with site selection, engineering, delivery, and finance teams to ensure developments align with customer demand.
Deliver market intelligence on future capacity requirements, including power availability, density needs, and deployment timelines.
Represent the firm at executive level with customers, partners, investors, and other industry stakeholders.

Requirements

Established relationships with decision-makers responsible for data center capacity procurement across hyperscalers, AI organizations, and cloud providers.
Proven record of closing large-scale infrastructure, colocation, or capacity transactions measured in tens or hundreds of megawatts.
Deep understanding of data center leasing, colocation, capacity planning, and AI infrastructure requirements.
Experience negotiating complex commercial agreements and long-term capacity commitments.
Strong grasp of the financial and commercial considerations behind large-scale infrastructure projects.
Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment that values speed, execution, and commercial creativity.

The Opportunity

Secure committed capacity before facilities are delivered.
Leverage an existing network across hyperscalers, frontier AI companies, and emerging cloud providers to originate, structure, and close major capacity agreements.
Turn existing credibility with strategic decision-makers into revenue from day one.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

Backed by highly respected investors and operators.
Exposure to AI and digital infrastructure, one of the fastest-growing global sectors.
Chance to influence the commercial direction of the business early on.
Direct impact on site selection, development strategy, and customer engagement.
Significant upside potential for someone who can generate meaningful customer relationships and revenue.

Location: San Francisco, CA (onsite)

Compensation: USD 350,000 - 500,000 per year
