This onsite Community Liaison role, based in Devils Lake, North Dakota, manages a Minnesota and North Dakota territory to drive demand for inpatient psychiatric services. The position covers Bemidji, Fergus Falls, Fargo, Detroit Lakes, and Alexandria with a salary range of USD 55,029 to 70,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Implement and uphold Sales Excellence standards and Service Recovery processes in daily activities.
- Serve as the primary link between the facility and referral sources, executing service-oriented plans, representing the community, and conducting facility tours for key stakeholders.
- Participate in Business Development team meetings and deliver marketing reports, updates, and Service Recovery opportunities to the Director of Business Development promptly.
- Maintain comprehensive records for top accounts, key contacts, planning reports, client profiles, and competitive profiles as directed by the Director of Business Development.
- Foster positive relationships with existing referral sources and identify opportunities to expand the referral network.
- Maximize field time with a daily goal of 8-10 in-person meetings with referral sources to discuss facility programs, treatment philosophies, and clinical outcomes.
- Develop and tailor sales messages for each program and target audience.
- Build and communicate a strategic sales plan for current and prospective referral sources within the assigned territory, integrating relevant research to identify contacts.
- Plan and execute sales activities approved by the Director of Business Development to achieve market penetration and identify potential accounts in targeted segments.
- Monitor referral inquiries and admissions daily; analyze weekly sales action plans for effectiveness and adjust as needed.
- Remain informed about industry trends and shifts in the target market; adjust weekly sales action plans and contribute to overall business development strategy.
- Ensure timely, clear communication and collaborate to strengthen relationships among the facility, referral sources, patients, families, and the community.
- Maintain up-to-date records in MedSeries 4, MIDAS, and MEDIK, logging daily contacts and ensuring accurate account information; utilize proprietary reports to plan activities.
- Complete required reports on schedule, including expense reports, sales call plans, and post-call follow-ups.
- Participate in off-hours sales and community activities as needed by the Director of Business Development and facility requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a related field required; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Three years minimum of documented experience in referral development, account management, sales growth, and physician relationships; prior marketing or sales experience in a behavioral healthcare setting is preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License is required.
