Role Overview

Own commercial growth across markets including gas monitoring, flame detection, perimeter security, and rail/industrial monitoring. The position focuses on converting customer requirements into qualified opportunities and aligning technical execution across engineering and operations to support long-term supply commitments.

Key Responsibilities

Build and execute a target-account plan covering OEMs, primes/integrators, and industrial sensor companies.
Develop multi-threaded relationships across engineering, supply chain, product management, and quality.
Own the opportunity lifecycle from qualification through proposal, negotiation, and close.
Translate customer requirements into product recommendations, including product selection, output needs, and environmental constraints.
Coordinate internal technical support to maintain continuity between customer needs and product capabilities.
Create quote strategy using pricing corridors, volume breaks, and multi-year supply assumptions.
Negotiate supply agreements and provide forecast visibility.
Partner with operations and quality to align lead times, reliability, and customer requirements.
Identify 2–3 repeatable plays, such as gas/flame OEM platforms and a telescope play for perimeter integrators.
Build channel capability where helpful (reps/distributors), including tools and training.

Required Qualifications

3–10+ years of experience in B2B business development or technical sales focused on sensors and/or infrared products.
Proven success selling into OEM engineering organizations.
Comfort with electro-optical sensor concepts, including filters, analog front ends, and noise bandwidth, with the ability to communicate credibly with engineers.
Strong commercial capabilities across pricing, negotiation, and program management.
Consistent CRM discipline, including pipeline hygiene, forecasting, and activity-to-outcome tracking.
Willingness to travel, typically 25–40%.
Experience in markets such as gas detection, flame detection, perimeter security systems, or rail monitoring.
Familiarity with government/defense procurement environments where applicable, including telescope positioning.
Ability to handle export/customer compliance requirements as applicable, including potential controlled customer programs.
