Job Description

Regional Turf Sales Manager position at GREENMARK EQUIPMENT LLC (onsite) supporting Turf and CCE growth across Southwestern Michigan and Northern Indiana.

Responsibilities

Analyze, understand, and track growth opportunities in the assigned GreenMark market using market and sales tools such as Deere Market Share, EDA, and CRM
Support metric goals for market share, profitability, and inventory management, with plans tied to location objectives
Assist with planning for new and used equipment sales, including support for unit budget forecasts
Support identification and strategic conversion of high potential commercial and governmental customers, maintaining existing relationships
Help develop and manage incentive programs (including discretionary budget, pool funds, medallion), monitoring spend and impact against regional sales performance goals
Operate as Turf and CCE Sales Manager at assigned locations, including:
- Leading sales meetings
- Assisting with hiring and coaching sales staff
Coordinate with sales professionals to gather feedback and understand developing trends
Communicate individual goals and key approaches to sales professionals based on regional goals
Conduct bi-weekly one-on-ones with assigned salespeople
Hold reps accountable to performance standards using CRM and KSM
Share best practices and implement consistent processes across the Sales Department and with organization leadership
Maximize usage of Finance programs to support new and used equipment sales
Maintain commission accountability for monthly submissions:
- Review and approve commissions prior to payroll submission
Support outside sales execution by planning road schedules and riding along on road days to evaluate techniques
Hold reps accountable to the Sales Process through role play, focused on sales skills and asking for the sale
Lead hiring and development of sales staff
Complete annual employee evaluations for direct staff
Collaborate with sales management on tactical deal support, including activities tied to equipment leasing, lease maturity, and lease management
Partner with sales management to maintain a measurable, consistent reconditioning policy and used equipment process across the organization
Manage the GreenMark reconditioning process and approve repair quotes for used equipment at responsible locations
Assist with development of sales and finance programs for used equipment in collaboration with sales

Requirements

3 to 5 years of sales experience with comprehensive understanding of Turf and CCE equipment dealer operations, business systems, and sales support tools
1 year of prior management experience, or demonstrated willingness and ability to learn management techniques
Ability to analyze market conditions, external factors, and internal data to anticipate future trends
Ability to develop strategic vision, sustainable growth plans, and major milestones with metrics
Ability to set performance goals and build tactical plans to execute
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively one-on-one, in a group, and across the organization
Good understanding of financial principles related to Sales Department operations
Experience with John Deere and competitive products
Ability to develop and motivate others through coaching, knowledge sharing, and modeling
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
