Job Description

Curry Construction, Inc. is seeking a Senior Sales & Business Development Representative to drive growth in the industrial construction space from our onsite location in Mattoon, IL. This proactive role combines outbound business development with disciplined pipeline management, connecting qualified opportunities to the right internal partners through to handoff.

You will be responsible for sourcing new leads, building relationships with industrial and commercial customers, and maintaining forecasting and CRM accuracy as opportunities move from initial outreach through close.

What you’ll do

Identify and generate new business opportunities and qualified leads through proactive prospecting.
Research target customers, projects, and decision-makers to support effective outreach.
Build and maintain strong relationships with industrial and commercial clients.
Manage the sales pipeline from prospecting through closing and handoff to Operations.
Maintain accurate CRM records, including activity, opportunity stages, forecasts, and follow-up.
Conduct consistent outreach via calls, email, networking, jobsite visits, and industry events.
Qualify opportunities based on customer needs, project fit, capacity, and profitability.
Collaborate with Estimating, Operations, and Leadership to develop proposals and solutions.
Maintain consistent communication with customers and internal teams.
Follow up on opportunities and proposals to support progression through the pipeline.
Represent Curry Construction professionally and uphold values of Stewardship, Integrity, Respect, and Learning.

What you bring

Proven B2B sales, business development, construction, or industrial sales experience.
Demonstrated ability to generate leads and develop business independently.
Strong understanding of CRM systems and pipeline management.
Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through.
Comfort with outbound calls and developing new relationships.
Ability to manage multiple opportunities and accurately forecast sales.
Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills.
Construction or industrial services experience preferred.
Valid driver’s license.

$100,000 Annual base salary + commission
