Abacus Construction Services is seeking an independent contractor Business Development Partner to identify and develop new opportunities across Central Florida and connect prospective clients with the company’s architecture, engineering, permitting, and construction team.
Role Overview
In this Contract / Independent Contractor (1099) role, you will focus on building relationships, uncovering projects that may require planning through final construction services, and coordinating introductions to Abacus’s professional team. Compensation is commission-only, with unlimited earning potential based on the company’s commission policy.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities throughout Central Florida.
- Build and maintain relationships with property owners, investors, Realtors®, contractors, architects, developers, and business owners.
- Identify prospective projects that may require planning, architectural design, engineering, permitting, or construction services.
- Schedule meetings between prospective clients and the Abacus team.
- Maintain long-term relationships to support repeat business and referrals.
- Represent Abacus Construction Services with professionalism and integrity.
Qualifications and Experience
- Enjoys networking and meeting new people.
- Confident in building business relationships.
- Self-motivated and results-driven.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to work independently.
- Reliable transportation.
- Sales, real estate, construction, architecture, engineering, or business development experience is preferred but not required.
- Existing network of business contacts is a major plus.
Compensation, Schedule, and Travel
- Compensation: Commission only.
- Commission rate: Earn 5% Commission on every project that is contracted and paid by the client, per Abacus’s commission policy.
- Earnings potential: Unlimited earning potential.
- Schedule: Flexible.
- Travel: Local travel within Central Florida.
- Work location: In person, Winter Springs, FL (onsite).
- Pay: From $12.00 per hour.
