Job Description

Based in Gary, Indiana, this onsite role with M & L Worldwide Logistics centers on growing both domestic and international freight portfolios while strengthening existing client relationships through consultative solutions. The position requires frequent travel across the Midwest and a proven track record in logistics sales to expand the company’s footprint and deliver value for customers.

Responsibilities

Increase revenue and deepen engagement with current clients
Actively generate new business via cold outreach, networking, and referrals
Utilize inside sales approaches to build and sustain a robust sales pipeline
Maintain high customer satisfaction through regular contact and follow-up
Surpass activity and performance metrics for prospecting calls, presentations, proposals, and closes
Prepare and share daily, weekly, and monthly activity reports
Implement and track strategic and tactical sales plans to maximize revenue and profit and meet or exceed targets
Collaborate with internal customer support to ensure a seamless client experience
Build long-term partnerships by acting as a trusted logistics advisor rather than merely quoting freight

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics & Supply Chain, or related field preferred
Minimum 10 years of experience in logistics, sales, or a related field
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities
Knowledge of current marketing and advertising trends and best practices
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
Demonstrated business acumen and solid understanding of the sales cycle
