Job Description

SpotOn Roofing and Exterior is hiring a Door-to-Door Sales Team Leader/Manager to build and lead a high-performing field roofing sales team. This is a hybrid role based in Mansfield, OH, with the work conducted in the field and focused on recruiting, training, and coaching new reps while continuing to sell.

Role Overview

This leadership position combines hands-on door-to-door sales with team development. You will recruit and develop new D2D sales representatives, coach them through prospecting and closing, and help them improve how they handle conversations in the field. You will also continue selling personally to generate additional income tied to team production.

Key Responsibilities

Train your team on prospecting, door approach, communication, and closing
Lead the team in the field and support reps in turning conversations into appointments and sales
Ride along with newer reps and provide real-time coaching
Help reps understand storm damage, roof inspections, and the insurance restoration process
Teach reps how to identify homeowners who may qualify for an insurance-supported roof replacement
Hold the team accountable to activity and production goals
Support the creation of a competitive, motivated team environment
Continue selling while developing the people around you
Build a team capable of significant monthly production

Requirements

Previous door-to-door sales experience

Leadership Opportunity

The role is designed for candidates who have actually knocked doors and sold. With proven consistency in generating appointments, handling objections, and closing deals, you can grow into a strong Team Leader. As the team expands, your opportunity to participate in the production you help create also increases. The model is straightforward: you sell, recruit, train, develop, and build.

Why Roofing Sales

Storms create real demand
Hail, wind, and severe weather can damage roofs and siding across a market
Homeowners may not recognize the full extent of damage until a professional inspection is completed
Your reps create the initial conversation, identify potential storm damage, schedule inspections, and help homeowners understand options
The sales process includes inspecting the property, documenting damage, and working through insurance restoration when applicable
The opportunity centers on finding damage, building trust, and guiding homeowners through the process
