Job Description

Roche Bobois is seeking a full-time Sales Manager for its Short Hills, NJ showroom. This on-site role combines high-end customer service with day-to-day sales leadership, business development, merchandising, and administrative follow-up to support strong showroom performance.

The position centers on meeting personal sales goals, ensuring consistent client follow-up, and helping the team operate with clear processes, including the company’s “8 signatures” program. You will also coordinate regular team meetings, organize product training sessions, and work closely with internal partners to strengthen trade and contract business.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-end customer service in store and through phone and email communications
Meet personal sales goals
Ensure proper follow-up with clients
Strictly implement the company’s “8 signatures” program
Coordinate weekly sales staff meetings to review performance, including leads, quotes, and monthly sales objectives
Organize regular products training sessions weekly or bi-weekly
Assist sales associates with closing
Develop trade and contract business with professionals (Brokers, Hotels, Developers, Designer) in collaboration with the Commercial Director and the Business Development Manager
Support coordination of in-store events with the Marketing department
Assist with prospecting new advertising options and media
Review sales statistics and recommend new store orders to the Commercial Director
Ensure correct labeling and pricing of displayed products
Promote the quick ship program
Prioritize liquidation of items with low turnaround to be replaced by stronger sellers
Supervise bi-yearly inventory
Track and check sales orders, cancellations, store credits, and the opening of credit lines in accordance with efficient and lawful practices
Ensure accurate order entry in the Ecolix IT system
Ensure proper allocation of stock items in and out of the showroom
Supervise supplier orders, including order confirmations
Follow customer service issues with the after-sales department according to internal process

Requirements

At least 2 years of direct management experience in a retail environment
At least 5 years of experience in retail sales, preferably in the furniture industry
Strong communication skills
Customer service oriented
Motivated to work in a sales environment
Interest in the furniture business
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
Interior Designer certification is a plus
