Job Description

Extol Inc is hiring a Consumer Products Market Guru – Business Development to own a market sector and grow a consumer and industrial book of business.

Responsibilities

Take over existing accounts.
Close existing business opportunities.
Own growth strategy for the consumer and industrial markets:
- Identify accounts with expansion potential
- Target new accounts
- Build an approach for penetration
Identify key decision-makers at key existing and target accounts.
Use strong discovery and documentation to tailor solution development, including:
- Understanding the customer’s problem
- Clarifying the impact
- Identifying possible solutions
Build and maintain a healthy pipeline.
Learn Extol’s technologies and explain how they work, their benefits, and customer value.
Demonstrate Extol’s core values by building positive relationships with the Extol team and manufacturers’ reps.
Maintain CRM hygiene:
- Keep information accurate and up to date
- Comply with forecasting requirements

Requirements

Experience calling on the corporate marketplace and engaging management-level stakeholders.
Experience facing competition.
Ability to hunt for new business and close deals with an average deal size of $200,000 - $2,000,000.
Comfort managing a long sales cycle, often 6 months or more.
Experience delivering dynamic presentations to groups of up to 25 people.
Experience selling high-end products and custom, complex solutions.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary: $120,000 - $140,000 per year (depending on experience)
Commission: $40,000
Profit Sharing Potential: $5,000
- Profit Sharing: a portion of company profits distributed to employees each quarter when target profit level is reached

About the Role

Grow Extol’s consumer and industrial market by owning a market sector.
Build a $6 million book of business.
Focus on plastic welding solutions, strategy, and pipeline development.
Work directly with the sales leadership team, reporting to the Director of Sales.

Compensation Qualification

Looking for individuals who are already earning at least $100,000 in a variable compensation plan.
