Automotive General Sales Manager | Special Finance Operator

LA City Cars is hiring a proven General Sales Manager to lead high-volume special finance and subprime sales in La Puente, CA. This onsite role combines desk leadership, lender-facing deal flow, and team accountability, backed by a strong lead flow, inventory depth, and a 12-rooftop dealer group operating across the U.S.

Compensation

USD 180,000 - 350,000 per year.

Responsibilities

• Run the sales department and lead the desk, including structuring, penciling, and working every deal
• Be in every deal from first pencil through it funding
• Drive daily execution by pushing every desk manager to get out, meet customers, take turnovers, and close
• Lead, train, and hold the sales team accountable every day
• Install and enforce a real sales process, with desk discipline and structure standards
• Oversee special finance submissions and manage funding flow by working directly with lenders to improve approvals and advance deals
• Own total gross, including front and back, while keeping every deal fundable

Requirements

• Direct experience running a special finance or subprime desk (required)
• 5+ years of automotive sales leadership
• Experience running a sales team, not just managing a desk
• Understanding lender behavior and deal structure (not limited to lender guidelines)
• Comfortable with T.O. and closing
• Fluency in Dealertrack, Tecobi, or equivalent CRM and desking tools
• Aggressive, competitive, and process driven
