Job Description

The Regional Business Development Representative (Inside Sales) is based onsite in Hermiston, Oregon, and covers Carson's east-of-the-Cascades territory, including Central Oregon, the Gorge, Hermiston, and the Tri-Cities area in Washington. The role focuses on acquiring new customers and selling lubricants, fuels, cardlock services, and diesel exhaust fluid through high-volume prospecting and collaboration with the Regional Outside Sales team. The position offers a salary range of USD 65,000 to USD 80,000 per year, with travel estimated between 0 and 25 percent.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new sales opportunities by following up on inbound inquiries, initiating outbound calls, and sending emails.
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for development and closure.
  • Research target accounts, identify key decision makers, and generate interest in Carson’s offerings.
  • Maintain and expand a robust prospect database within the assigned eastern region.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Outside Sales Representative to build pipelines and convert opportunities into deals.
  • Meet and strive to exceed defined sales targets and objectives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or relevant certifications are advantageous.
  • Two or more years of proven experience in B2B outside sales or inside sales.
  • Strong verbal and written communication with a customer-centric focus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office software.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Positive attitude, proactive problem solving, and a results-driven mindset.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and order processing software is a plus.

Relationships and Roles

  • Identify prospects, set appointments, conduct effective qualifying sales calls, and manage the sales cycle to close new business across product lines.
  • Possess in-depth product knowledge to perform discoveries, handle objections, and close new business.
  • Demonstrate the ability to interact and cooperate within a vertical regional sales team.
  • Proactively establish and maintain effective working relationships with all support departments.
  • Willingness to travel within the region to support the team, approximately 0 to 25 percent of time.

Qualifications

Employer Notes

  • Full time in-office 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
  • Compensation consists of base salary plus commission; the listing notes a salary range.
