Job Description

The Regional Business Development Representative (Inside Sales) is based onsite in Hermiston, Oregon, and covers Carson's east-of-the-Cascades territory, including Central Oregon, the Gorge, Hermiston, and the Tri-Cities area in Washington. The role focuses on acquiring new customers and selling lubricants, fuels, cardlock services, and diesel exhaust fluid through high-volume prospecting and collaboration with the Regional Outside Sales team. The position offers a salary range of USD 65,000 to USD 80,000 per year, with travel estimated between 0 and 25 percent.

Responsibilities

Generate new sales opportunities by following up on inbound inquiries, initiating outbound calls, and sending emails.
Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for development and closure.
Research target accounts, identify key decision makers, and generate interest in Carson’s offerings.
Maintain and expand a robust prospect database within the assigned eastern region.
Collaborate with the Regional Outside Sales Representative to build pipelines and convert opportunities into deals.
Meet and strive to exceed defined sales targets and objectives.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or relevant certifications are advantageous.
Two or more years of proven experience in B2B outside sales or inside sales.
Strong verbal and written communication with a customer-centric focus.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office software.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Positive attitude, proactive problem solving, and a results-driven mindset.
Familiarity with CRM systems and order processing software is a plus.

Relationships and Roles

Identify prospects, set appointments, conduct effective qualifying sales calls, and manage the sales cycle to close new business across product lines.
Possess in-depth product knowledge to perform discoveries, handle objections, and close new business.
Demonstrate the ability to interact and cooperate within a vertical regional sales team.
Proactively establish and maintain effective working relationships with all support departments.
Willingness to travel within the region to support the team, approximately 0 to 25 percent of time.

Qualifications

Employer Notes
