Job Description

Stanley Black & Decker is expanding its footprint in the residential construction space with a remote Business Development Manager role that leverages market insights, lead generation, and strategic account development. This position combines market research, program design, and collaboration with national accounts and retailers to drive growth from a Maryland-based remote setting.

Location: Maryland (remote) • Compensation: USD 95,600 - 153,900 per year

Responsibilities

Identify high-potential key accounts that can broaden growth and strengthen market presence using data-driven insights and proactive outreach.
Continuously assess the residential and home services landscape to locate leading end-user accounts within targeted trades and services.
Perform comprehensive market research to stay informed about industry trends, opportunities, and competitive dynamics.
Engage with industry experts, attend relevant trade shows, and monitor competitor activities to refine targeting strategies.
Design and implement tailored programs to win national accounts by leveraging initiatives such as Impact Rewards, Trade In Trade Up, and Extended Warranty.
Analyze each account’s specific needs and challenges to craft targeted solutions aligned with their business objectives.
Provide ongoing support and training to account representatives to ensure adoption and utilization of these programs, driving engagement and loyalty.
Utilize the National Residential PRO team as needed to maintain and strengthen relationships with key national accounts.
Coordinate consistent communication, address concerns, and foster long-term partnerships aligned with mutual strategic goals.
Cultivate and maintain direct relationships with the top 20-30 national accounts in the residential and home services market.
Regularly engage with key decision-makers to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions that enhance their operations.
Establish a strategic partnership with national associations by leveraging retailers Lowe's and The Home Depot, implementing promotions and programs through these associations to boost sales at the retailers.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
Minimum of 8 years in sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
Ability to develop and sustain relationships with key strategic accounts.
Proven track record of meeting sales targets and driving business growth.
Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
Ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
Proficiency with Salesforce.com, PowerBi, and Showpad.
Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience managing budgets and maintaining fiscal responsibility.

Job Description
