Job Description

The Automotive Sales Manager role at Dick Hannah Chevrolet (onsite in Sandy, OR) focuses on improving vehicle sales performance through customer retention and profitability. The position combines deal execution, finance-related processes, and sales leadership, with an emphasis on training, compliance, and consistent follow-through with prospective buyers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Structure vehicle deals, including contracting customers, ensuring accurate paperwork, and submitting deals for bank approval; complete necessary corrections and perform resigns, taking full responsibility for funding delays.
  • Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of sales team employees to build and maintain a strong, effective group.
  • Stay informed about and comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations affecting vehicle sales.
  • Assist individual salespeople in setting realistic monthly goals and objectives, and provide support needed to achieve them.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor a prospecting and sales control system to ensure proper follow up of potential buyers.
  • Conduct daily and/or weekly sales meetings.
  • Maintain clear communication across the sales department and with other departments.
  • Ensure salespeople understand and follow dealership policies and procedures.
  • Manage and maintain high ratings in customer reviews.

Compensation

Base salary plus commission, with expected monthly earnings ranging from $11,000 to $15,000. Additional income may be available based on department profitability.
