Job Description
North Texas Central Business Office is part of Surgery Ventures Group (SVG), powered by HCA Healthcare and jointly owned with physicians. SVG operates and supports more than 150 centers across the United States, with a mission focused on collaborating with physicians to advance healthcare in local communities. This onsite role in Dallas, TX supports business growth by identifying and evaluating major ambulatory surgery center (ASC) acquisition and de novo development opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Partner with HCA leadership within SVG and selected markets in the Gulf Coast Division to identify and pursue attractive ASC acquisition and de novo development opportunities.
- Build relationships with physicians and management teams at targeted ASCs to support negotiation and execution of Letters of Intent for de novo or acquisition transactions.
- Analyze potential ASC acquisition and development targets, assess the propriety of each opportunity, and develop initial offers or proposals for senior management review.
- Work with the SVG SVP Business Development, SVG VPs Business Development, SVG leadership, and HCA corporate and divisional leadership to gather intelligence on new transaction leads and identify high-priority targets in the Southeast market.
- Prepare pro forma financial statements and valuation models for development project types.
- Collaborate with Facility Planning, Construction, and Real Estate to evaluate and recommend facility options for de novo projects.
- Partner with corporate Finance and Treasury to evaluate and recommend financing alternatives.
- Collaborate across all levels of personnel within SVG and the HCA organization.
- Expect significant travel, at times up to 60%.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, or Work Experience in lieu of Degree.
- 7-10 years of professional experience; some healthcare experience working with physicians preferred.
- Relevant financial acumen and/or development experience.
- Prior experience with ambulatory surgery centers or similar healthcare facilities preferred.
- Ability to make presentations to physicians and senior management.
- Ability to formulate initial deal structures appropriate for a wide variety of scenarios.
