Job Description
Hybrid project leadership and business development role focused on asbestos, lead, and mold abatement, combining project delivery with growth initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead multiple abatement projects from pre-construction through closeout, covering planning, scheduling, staffing, subcontractor coordination, progress billing, and final invoicing.
- Prepare professional estimates, scopes, and bid packages for asbestos, lead paint, and mold projects.
- Oversee site safety and regulatory compliance, including local and state EPA/DEP requirements, air monitoring, and documentation; ensure QA/QC and alignment with client expectations.
- Supervise and mentor field crews, enforce safety protocols, and conduct on-site inspections.
- Develop and execute business development strategies to pursue municipal and school contracts, property managers, environmental consultants, insurance adjusters, and general contractors.
- Maintain CRM pipeline, log leads, and track win rates and conversion metrics.
- Prepare job-level budgets and report P&L, margins, and project KPIs to leadership.
- Represent the company in client meetings, site visits, pre-bid conferences, and vendor negotiations.
- Support permit applications, manifesting, and disposal logistics for regulated waste.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing asbestos, lead, and mold abatement projects, including field supervision and project management.
- Strong knowledge of applicable regulations and best practices (asbestos/lead regulations, AHERA, EPA RRP, OSHA, etc.).
- Excellent estimating, budgeting, and contract administration skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities; experience building relationships with owners, consultants, and public agencies.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel across New Jersey and NYC work sites.
- Comfort with technology: CRM systems, basic Excel estimating spreadsheets, and mobile reporting tools.
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings as required.
