Inside Sales Manager
Job Description
GCG is hiring an Inside Sales Manager to lead and coach an established inside sales team within its Connectivity & Power Solutions division. Based in Collegeville, PA with a hybrid arrangement, the role provides operational leadership for a distributed team supporting customers across the Eastern and Central U.S.
Role Overview
You will drive team KPIs and revenue while ensuring consistent, high-quality customer experience. The position emphasizes coaching and performance management across multiple locations, along with ongoing operational support for sales processes, systems, and product knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a distributed team of inside sales professionals supporting customers across the Eastern and Central U.S.
- Establish consistency in expectations, communication, processes, and performance management across multiple locations.
- Build a culture focused on accountability, inclusivity, continuous improvement, and high engagement.
- Support onboarding, training, and hiring activities as needed to maintain team capability and continuity.
- Set, measure, and exceed KPIs including revenue, margin, quoting activity, close ratios, new customer acquisition, and wallet-share expansion.
- Ensure the team delivers a consistently exceptional customer experience.
- Stay current on products, competitive trends, and customer needs, and share insights with leadership.
- Serve as the primary resource for processes, systems, products, customers, and suppliers.
- Collaborate effectively with outside sales teams and other internal partners to support shared goals.
- Communicate clearly and proactively with all levels of the organization.
Requirements
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 7–10 years of sales and/or industry experience, ideally in an industrial distribution environment.
- Prior commercial leadership experience with responsibility for coaching, hiring, or developing sales talent preferred.
- Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) experience strongly desired.
- Strong people leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop others.
- Comfortable leading through influence, structure, and clear communication across multiple locations.
- Data-driven decision making with strong analytical thinking.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Collaborative and relationship-oriented approach with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Travel up to 20%.
