Business Development Specialist
Job Description
NORDAM is hiring a Business Development Specialist to support strategic planning and corporate development activities from its Tulsa, OK onsite location. In this role, you apply expert-level knowledge to develop, interpret, and implement complex sales, marketing, and pricing concepts that feed revenue and operating forecasts, investment decisions, and long-term business direction.
This position focuses on coordinating cross-functional strategy, conducting diligence and research, and producing detailed analyses that help senior management evaluate growth opportunities such as acquisitions, JV’s, divestitures, and related business development initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop solutions to complex or unusual business planning problems involving substantial scope and complexity.
- Coordinate with management levels to gather, analyze, summarize, prepare, and implement strategic plan decisions and corporate development activities including acquisitions, JV’s, divestitures, and new business development.
- Research and conduct diligence, then prepare summary and detailed reports and studies across areas such as pricing theory, market and company research, competitive analysis, corporate structure, investment opportunity analysis, and the impact of governmental or regulatory requirements.
- Develop systems specifications and build PC databases to support analysis of future revenue, operating, and capital plans and forecasts.
- Serve as project leader when assigned and provide technical leadership to others as required.
- Perform special studies to analyze complex corporate actions and produce recommendations related to policy, procedure, control, or action.
- Interpret and apply complex corporate financial policies, government legislation, accounting theory, and customer financial regulations to assess business development opportunities.
- Prepare studies, reports, and analyses for budgets, forecasts, financial plans, governmental requirements, statistical reporting, cash flow projections, and business forecasts tied to specific opportunities.
- Analyze revenue and profit opportunities and recommend profitability improvement strategies to senior management.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 Year / Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Marketing, Accounting, or another appropriate discipline.
- Preferred: Graduate degree, such as a Master of Business Administration.
- 10 years related experience and/or training.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form, including through electronic media.
- Capacity to make telephone and direct personal contact with internal and external stakeholders and deliver formal presentations to small or large groups.
- Proficiency operating standard office equipment and using common software applications such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in excess of eight (8) hours per day and five (5) days per week, if required.
