Job Description
Glendale Nissan is seeking an Experienced Automotive Assistant Sales Manager / Closer to support sales leadership in Glendale, California. This hands-on role combines coaching, performance management, and a customer-first approach to new and used vehicle sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales associates, promoting collaboration, accountability, and mutual respect
- Drive new and used vehicle sales volume and profitability while maintaining Glendale Nissan’s customer experience standards
- Run regular training, coaching sessions, and team meetings to strengthen skills and morale
- Partner with the General Manager on inventory strategy, pricing, and merchandising
- Track and analyze sales performance metrics, delivering actionable feedback to the team
- Ensure every customer interaction reflects honesty, respect, and a no-pressure buying experience
- Address customer concerns professionally with a problem-solving mindset
- Recruit, interview, and help build a team aligned with the dealership’s culture
Qualifications
- 3+ years of automotive sales management experience, or equivalent senior sales leadership in a dealership environment
- Demonstrated ability to meet sales goals while maintaining strong CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) scores
- Strong leadership instincts, including leading by example, giving credit to the team, and taking ownership when issues arise
- Working knowledge of dealership operations, F&I processes, and inventory management
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust with both customers and team members
- Valid California driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Bilingual capability (English/Armenian, Spanish, or other languages common in the Glendale community) is a strong plus
Compensation and Schedule
Location: Glendale, CA (onsite)
Pay: USD 80,000 - 100,000 per year
