Job Description

VJ X-Ray LLC is hiring a Sales Manager to lead strategic sales planning and regional growth from a hybrid setup in Bohemia, NY. In this role, you will focus on strengthening OEM customer relationships, uncovering new opportunities, driving bookings against targets, and delivering technical customer presentations in close partnership with engineering and operations.

The position includes a blend of customer-facing work, technical communication, and ongoing forecasting and reporting, with responsibility for order negotiation and customer issue resolution. This is also marked as a Safety Sensitive Position.

What you’ll do

Maintain and build existing OEM customer relationships through periodic visits and phone calls
Identify new business opportunities by conducting market research, analyzing market surveys, and attending relevant industrial tradeshows and exhibitions
Develop sales by generating leads, scheduling customer visits, preparing quotes, and traveling to customer locations
Negotiate and close orders
Conduct technical presentations for current and potential customers
Assist sales management in developing and executing sales plans aimed at revenue, profitability, and market share objectives
Achieve the annual booking plan on a quarterly basis
Maintain a real-time sales forecast, keep a sales database, and report results according to company requirements
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary engineering and operations teams to ensure current and future market requirements are understood
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and resolve customer issues quickly and effectively

Key qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or engineering discipline
Sales experience in an OEM environment
Demonstrated history of successful sales management and quota achievement
Ability to travel domestically and internationally, 30% to 40% of the time
Willingness to learn and the ability to thrive in a technical environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional collaborative team
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple accounts with close attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Superior presentation skills
Ability to read schematics
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Must successfully pass a personal background check and drug screenings

Tools & systems

Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with Salesforce or another CRM platform (noted as an additional/optional preference)
Experience with an ERP system (noted as an additional/optional preference)

Compensation & location

Location: Bohemia, NY (hybrid)
Salary: USD 75,000 - 125,000 per year
