Job Description

Stuteville Auto Group is hiring an Automotive Sales Manager to lead day-to-day new and pre-owned sales operations at its Poteau, OK location. This hands-on role combines sales leadership, desk deal support, inventory decisions, and a customer-first approach to help the dealership meet sales and profitability goals.

In this position, you will manage a sales team, coach performance, and oversee key metrics across volume, gross profit, inventory turns, and overall department profitability. You will also stay current on manufacturer incentives and monitor follow-up and customer satisfaction outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage both new and pre-owned vehicle sales operations
  • Support desk deals and assist the sales team in structuring transactions
  • Drive dealership goals for sales volume, gross profit, inventory turn, and profitability
  • Hire, train, coach, supervise, and motivate sales staff
  • Appraise trades and make sound decisions regarding vehicle acquisition and disposition
  • Assist with new vehicle inventory management, including ordering and acquisition
  • Manage pre-owned inventory, covering pricing, aging, reconditioning, and wholesaling
  • Maintain knowledge of manufacturer incentives, rebates, sales programs, and related requirements
  • Monitor sales performance, Internet lead follow-up, and customer satisfaction
  • Control selling expenses and identify opportunities to maximize department profitability
  • Resolve customer concerns professionally and maintain strong CSI performance
  • Work with other dealership departments while following dealership policies and applicable regulations

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of automotive sales management experience required
  • Previous automotive retail sales experience required
  • Experience with both new and pre-owned vehicle sales operations preferred
  • Experience desking deals and working with manufacturer incentives, rebates, and sales programs
  • Experience appraising trades and managing pre-owned vehicle inventory and pricing
  • Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and organizational skills
  • High standards of honesty, integrity, accountability, and customer service
  • Reynolds & Reynolds and/or Chrysler/Stellantis experience is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required
  • Ability to successfully complete applicable pre-employment screening

USD 65,000 - 125,000 per year
