Business Development Manager
Job Description
Business Development Manager role responsible for building and executing joint business plans, driving sales objectives, and coordinating internally and externally with the Wakefern/ShopRite team and Kimberly-Clark Family Care (Paper) Business Unit.
Responsibilities
- Own delivery of Net Sales, Contribution, Category Share, and DPSM objectives for Wakefern/ShopRite and Family Care (Paper) BUs
- Follow Trade Promotion and pricing guidelines while managing budgeted trade
- Sell and negotiate JBP goals agreed upon with assigned Wakefern stakeholders
- Lead Check and Adjust execution of plan and business objectives; adjust plans as conditions change
- Act as a liaison between the customer, team counterparts, and internal teams
- Communicate clearly in writing and orally with internal partners (Business Unit, VP’s, teammates) and external customer stakeholders at all levels
- Present creative business solutions to customers and the K-C Team Leader to achieve objectives, drive sales, and grow share
- Develop and deliver persuasive, professional PowerPoint sales presentations using data-driven insights and recommendations to drive DPSM
- Apply consumer industry and cross-category knowledge to build quarterly and annual plans that set weekly and monthly priorities for development activities and projects
- Arrange meetings with customer executives
- Keep the team leader updated on plan/program status, marketplace changes, competitive activity, issues, and accomplishments impacting sales results
- Make timely judgments and decisions aligned to business objectives
- Set priorities independently; identify issues, underlying problems, scope, potential solutions, and develop a plan of action
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree minimum
- 5+ years progressive exempt status experience in business and customer management or equivalent experience in other business functions
- Experience presenting to Senior Level management
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of forecasting, supply and demand processes, shelf reset experience, and business planning processes/tools
- Experience working in Consumer Package Goods (CPG) and with K-C customer/retailer accounts
- Track record of exceeding sales objectives
- Knowledge of K-C brands and categories
- Experience developing and executing unique solutions and innovation for customers
- Digital commerce experience
- Strong oral/verbal/written communication; results and strategy orientation; business intuition; business management and planning; brand management; relationship building and leadership
- Skills/competencies include mentoring, networking, employee training and development, supply chain, decision making, prioritization, and problem solving

Compensation
- USD 134,520 - 166,160 per year
