New Business Development Manager

This hybrid role in Long Beach, CA is a direct path to measurable growth, partnering with a collaborative, experienced leadership team while owning new account development and revenue expansion. Compensation: USD 120,000–140,000 per year, with a competitive base salary plus performance-based incentives. Reporting to the EVP Sales, you will focus on winning new business, particularly with medical OEMs and other regulated markets.
What You’ll Do
- Identify, target, and secure new customer accounts, with a focus on the medical device and healthcare markets
- Develop and execute strategic prospecting plans to expand pipeline and drive revenue growth
- Lead the sales journey from initial outreach through quotation, negotiation, and contract award
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams to build technically sound, competitive solutions
- Translate customer applications and regulatory requirements into value-added positioning based on performance needs
- Manage RFQs, pricing strategy, and commercial negotiations for new business
- Build long-term relationships with decision-makers, engineers, and sourcing teams
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer visits
- Maintain accurate sales activity, pipeline, and forecasting information
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to inform strategy
What You Bring
- 5+ years of successful new business development or technical sales experience in contract manufacturing
- Proven success bringing in new accounts and growing revenue year over year
- Experience with rubber molding, plastic molding, or both (LSR, compression, transfer, injection molding preferred)
- Experience selling into medical device, healthcare, or other regulated industries
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, and cost drivers
- Comfort navigating both technical and commercial discussions with confidence
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling medical-grade components or assemblies
- Familiarity with ISO and FDA requirements, or medical qualification processes
- Existing network within medical OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers
- Experience with complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required
