Job Description

D.R. Horton is seeking a Sales Manager to lead the division sales team and drive sales, revenue, and customer satisfaction goals across assigned communities. This onsite role in Conyers, GA focuses on managing day-to-day sales performance, coaching and developing sales personnel, and ensuring sales strategies are executed effectively from lead to closing.

What you’ll do

Direct the daily activities of Sales Representatives and other sales personnel to achieve established objectives for sales, revenue, traffic conversion, and closing.
Track community sales performance and stay aware of market conditions, competitive activity, inventory levels, and sales trends to find opportunities and recommend corrective actions.
Coach and develop sales staff through training, performance evaluations, field observations, and ongoing professional development to improve individual and team results.
Implement sales strategies, promotions, incentive programs, and pricing initiatives to maximize sales, profitability, and market share.
Review sales metrics including customer traffic, lead conversion rates, contract activity, cancellations, and closing performance to ensure divisional goals are met.
Collaborate with Marketing and Online Sales teams to support lead generation, community launches, product positioning, and advertising campaigns.
Partner with Construction, Mortgage, Title, and Customer Service teams to support a seamless homebuyer experience from contract execution through closing.
Maintain compliance with company policies, fair housing requirements, real estate regulations, sales procedures, and documentation standards throughout the sales process.
Support recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and succession planning activities for sales personnel within the division.
Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner that serves customers and supports company goodwill and profit.
Ability to travel overnight.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of residential homebuilding sales experience.
Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a sales environment.
Manage sales performance metrics, forecasting, and employee development.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between communities as needed.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new programs or systems quickly.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Real Estate, or a related field (preferred).
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form or via DRH applications.
Physical requirements include sitting for the majority of an 8-hour workday, using hands and fingers to handle or feel, reaching with arms, and communicating by talking and hearing; specific vision abilities include close vision and peripheral vision.
Noise level is generally moderate.
