Job Description

Ferguson Enterprises is seeking a Senior Category Sales Manager to lead industrial plastics sales within its HDPE Group. This is a hands-on sales leadership role centered on evolving the team and shaping how the organization plans, executes, and grows across target markets.

The position is based in the Houston, TX area and will be onsite in La Porte, TX. The scope includes developing market plans and go-to-market strategies for industrial plastics and HDPE, from ideation through execution.

Key responsibilities

Own sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes used across the sales organization.
Lead sales process improvement efforts, partnering with sales management to assess sales process quality and prioritize opportunities for enhancement.
Advance sales operations through innovation, including enabling technologies that support sales teams.
Drive end-to-end market plans to serve the consumer, covering ideation through execution.
Lead development and implementation of the annual brand plan in collaboration with business sales and marketing teams across markets.
Identify and build new go-to-market strategies that focus on equity and growth within target markets.
Manage dealer meetings and support new dealer recruitment events, including the dealer onboarding process.

What you bring

3-5 years of Industrial Plastics experience.
Excellent verbal communication and communication skills.
Strong time management, including scheduling trainings, quarterly business reviews, and travel aligned to opportunity and strategy.
Outstanding organizational skills and ability to multitask.
Collaboration experience with other departments and functional groups within Ferguson.
Strong written skills and strong presentation skills.
Proficiency with O365 tools, including Power BI for reporting.
Enthusiasm and professionalism.

Location and compensation

Location: La Porte, TX (onsite)
Salary: USD 7,949 - 17,325 per month
