Business Development Manager: Transportation Sales
Job Description
The D/C Group is seeking a seasoned business development professional to drive transportation sales, focusing on Transportation Services, Logistics, Regional Trucking, Drayage, or 3PL solutions. This hybrid role based in La Porte, TX blends remote work with in-person collaboration, offering an uncapped commission structure and the potential for profit sharing; compensation targets around $115,000 in the first year, with room to grow.
Responsibilities
- Master prospecting to identify potential clients through research, networking, and cold outreach, building a strong pipeline.
- Identify, contact, and qualify new customers, expanding revenue by understanding their transportation needs and applying DC Export Group solutions.
- Develop and nurture long-term relationships with key accounts to ensure retention and repeat business.
- Manage CRM activities, keeping accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, next steps, and notes.
Requirements
- Proven track record of achieving sales goals.
- No need for approval bottlenecks or call reluctance.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with resilience in the face of rejection.
- Excellent time management with the ability to prioritize and track weekly and daily activity.
- Strong personal motivation and coachability.
- Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
- Excellent rapport with internal teams dedicated to support and success.
