Job Description
Area Sales Director, Healthcare is a strategic GTM sales leadership role guiding quota-bearing teams in the healthcare vertical across a defined geography.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales Executive and decision makers to develop sales strategy aligned to global and regional organizational objectives.
- Define market approach for the sales force and set sales targets to deliver and exceed expectations.
- Build sales culture through sharing best practices and sustaining cross-functional relationships.
- Contribute to sales policies and procedures, supporting implementation and continuous improvement for business results.
- Align sales and organizational strategy and execute via relevant operational plans.
- Manage the team, including setting and managing budgets, creating and executing plans, and reporting on team activity in required forums.
- Engage vendors and partners to develop and execute go-to-market strategies implemented by sales teams.
- Close the gap between buyer expectations and current-state sales models, engagement models, and integration methods.
- Execute the sales strategy through decisions influencing people, process, and technology.
- Measure progress against objectives and ensure appropriate effort levels across the sales team based on client realities.
- Coordinate sales activities across the geography to maintain a consistent go-to-market approach and coordinated client outreach.
- Act as the link between field execution and sales strategy to deliver the executive team end-state vision while balancing buyer expectations.
- Set sales targets and goals and make it easier for clients to buy by listening to concerns, collecting reality-based evidence, and applying standardized but flexible methods.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external partners to support client outcomes.
- Lead and manage client and senior client managers and quota-bearing teams to drive consistent performance and strategic execution across healthcare markets.
- Provide executive-level leadership and strategic oversight, ensuring go-to-market initiatives align with healthcare priorities, compliance requirements, and long-term client partnerships.
- Foster a collaborative, innovative, high-performing sales culture while ensuring operational excellence and accurate execution of healthcare-focused sales programs.
Requirements
- Sales business acumen, including planning, leveraging tools and data, and applying an organizational and business outcome mindset.
- Ability to understand client business needs across commercial and financial aspects to create value from company services.
- Client engagement and management skills across the client lifecycle, including analysis, relationship improvement, sales planning, and trust building.
- Sales solution expertise in company offerings, client applications, use cases, and market trends; ability to position the team member as an expert advisor.
- Sales resources optimization, including internal relationship building, support with pursuit teams, and leveraging vendors throughout the sales cycle.
- Sales pursuit capability to identify and advance opportunities and coordinate internal and external resources to close sales.
- Sales strategy execution skills aligned to business strategy.
- Sales business management skills to ensure target setting and processes align to meeting targets.
- Talent management and enablement experience to achieve results through effective talent leadership.
- Proven experience leading senior client managers and quota-carrying teams within the Healthcare Sector, driving consistent performance and strategic execution.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute healthcare-specific go-to-market strategies with strong compliance understanding, procurement cycle awareness, and stakeholder engagement.
- Track record building a collaborative, innovative, high-performing sales culture with operational excellence and successful execution of healthcare sales programs.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Significant experience in a sales leadership/management role, preferably within a global technology services organization.
- Proven track record leading a team of senior sellers, driving quota and business execution.
- Significant sales work experience in a similar environment and significant strategic planning plus operational execution experience.
- Significant media experience and evidence of previous work in this area is required.
- Extensive experience selling Infrastructure Solutions, including secure networking, collaboration, contact center, hybrid datacenter, security, and related areas.
- Experience working in a global matrixed environment.
- Experience working with OEM partners such as Cisco, Palo Alto, HPE, Dell, and others.
- Significant track record managing financial results and business outcomes.
- Significant experience negotiating extremely critical matters.
- Significant go-to-market planning and execution experience.

Travel and Location
- Remote role based in the United States; candidates must reside in the U.S. at the time of application

- Up to 50% travel based on business needs
Compensation
- Starting pay range for remote role: USD 164,000 - 304,000 per year
- May be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance
