Business Development Manager, PlayStation Plus

Sony Interactive Entertainment is hiring a Business Development Manager for PlayStation Plus in San Mateo, CA (onsite). This role contributes to the growth of a global subscription service by spotting strategic opportunities and helping translate them into commercial execution, supported by business cases, measurable goals, and cross-functional alignment.

Compensation: $131,400 to $197,200 per year (estimated base pay range). Experience: 5+ years in consumer tech related industries. Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Support strategic commercial projects end-to-end, from business case development through delivery.
• Track and share relevant industry trends to help surface future opportunities and potential threats.
• Evaluate the impact of new opportunities and how they connect to wider business goals.
• Partner with key cross-functional stakeholders to drive strategic alignment, gain buy-in, and secure approval.
• Play a key role in driving the culture and development of the global Service’s team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
• Proven ability to propose, shape, and lead new propositions and strategies across a complex, global organization.
• At least 5 years of experience in consumer tech related industries, executing and delivering on business growth strategies.
• Understanding of commercial subscription and financial models.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Ability to think strategically and execute tactically, with strong attention to detail.
• Adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong data analysis and quantitative skills.
• Flexible approach to working hours to support global business operations.
