Construction Casework Business Development Manager
Job Description
Flairwood is hiring a Construction Casework Business Development Manager in Grand Rapids, MI to lead the Casework Team, foster contractor relationships, and serve as the primary liaison for clients and internal stakeholders, with 25-35% travel.
Responsibilities
- Lead the business operations end to end, aligning strategy, delivery, and outcomes across teams.
- Define success by tangible results and long term sustainability, not activity levels.
- Map process flows to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Design and implement streamlined workflows to boost productivity and reliability.
- Evaluate bid invitations, architectural drawings, and specifications for casework and millwork offerings.
- Produce precise take-offs and prepare competitive bid proposals.
- Oversee shop drawing creation and approval, material samples, and order entry processes.
- Collaborate with manufacturing to track production schedules and ensure adherence to design details and shop drawings.
- Travel commitment of 25-35% of duties.
- Coordinate all on site activities, including delivery and installation.
- Manage the final punch list to ensure items are resolved to the client's satisfaction.
- Oversee final billing, lien waivers, and financial reconciliation.
- Lead post project reviews to identify lessons learned and best practices for future work.
- Prepare ongoing progress reports, status updates, and financial summaries for management.
