Job Description

Flairwood is hiring a Construction Casework Business Development Manager in Grand Rapids, MI to lead the Casework Team, foster contractor relationships, and serve as the primary liaison for clients and internal stakeholders, with 25-35% travel.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the business operations end to end, aligning strategy, delivery, and outcomes across teams.
  • Define success by tangible results and long term sustainability, not activity levels.
  • Map process flows to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Design and implement streamlined workflows to boost productivity and reliability.
  • Evaluate bid invitations, architectural drawings, and specifications for casework and millwork offerings.
  • Produce precise take-offs and prepare competitive bid proposals.
  • Oversee shop drawing creation and approval, material samples, and order entry processes.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing to track production schedules and ensure adherence to design details and shop drawings.
  • Travel commitment of 25-35% of duties.
  • Coordinate all on site activities, including delivery and installation.
  • Manage the final punch list to ensure items are resolved to the client's satisfaction.
  • Oversee final billing, lien waivers, and financial reconciliation.
  • Lead post project reviews to identify lessons learned and best practices for future work.
  • Prepare ongoing progress reports, status updates, and financial summaries for management.
