Market Director of Business Development

Direct admissions and business development for UF Health's two inpatient facilities in Gainesville, accountable for market ADC and admissions goals, building a clinical admissions team, applying BD best practices, and strengthening physician partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Oversee admissions and business development for two inpatient hospitals and care levels in the local area: Critical Illness Recovery and Inpatient Rehabilitation
• Consistently achieve market ADC and admissions budgets
• Select, train and mentor a liaison and admissions team that is clinically astute, detail-oriented, highly accountable and customer-service driven
• Refine and deploy business development best practices across both levels of care
• Ensure admissions processes are efficient and consistently place patients into the appropriate level of care
• Build and nurture collaborative internal and external physician relationships
• Promote positive brand recognition within the market by using social media to celebrate hospital, patient, and employee success
• Lead by example in work ethic, integrity, accountability and patient-centricity

Requirements

• Bachelors’ degree required; Masters’ degree preferred
• Clinical experience as a Registered Nurse or Rehab Therapist strongly preferred
• Five or more years of experience in healthcare sales and marketing, inpatient services marketing in the local market strongly preferred
• Three or more years of team management experience
• Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement and regulatory standards
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, oral and written communication skills
• Proven success in relationship development and training/mentoring of team members
• Ability to work effectively with direct reports and hospital leadership to achieve hospital budgets and positive patient outcomes
