Job Description

The Sales Development Program Sales Associate role in Miami, FL offers a structured training path toward becoming an Outside Sales Representative, with hands-on experience in technical products and customer relationship building.

Responsibilities

  • Start at a local branch, shadowing sales and operations to gain end-to-end understanding of the equipment rental lifecycle.
  • Participate in a North American digital onboarding class to sharpen sales techniques and build a collaborative internal network.
  • Engage in outbound sales campaigns across construction verticals and customer segments, covering different spend levels and rental types.
  • Become proficient with core sales tools including the CRM, inventory management platforms, customer portal, and mobile applications.
  • Lead high level conversations involving price negotiations, multi-piece rental requests, government and educational procurement agreements, service contracts, and the sale of used equipment at the end of rentals.
  • Learn proven sales methodologies to deliver customer solutions and drive revenue growth.
  • Participate in local team initiatives such as daily safety huddles, customer appreciation events, equipment yard sale events, customer entertainment outings, charity drives, and internal team-building workshops.
  • Track progress through multiple achievement levels with real-time sales performance metrics and weekly peer rankings.
  • Receive daily feedback from corporate and local leadership meetings, call coaching sessions, and ride-alongs to jobsites; develop sales strategies for accounts and create realistic timelines to reach goals.
  • The average SDP duration is 4-6 months before promotion to an Outside Sales Representative, dependent on market conditions and individual performance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in a customer-facing sales role is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
  • Proficient with computers and mobile devices.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Must reside within a reasonable driving distance of the assigned branch and report on-site Monday through Friday.
