Job Description

RFG Advisory offers a remote Associate Director of Business Development role with a compensation package built to reward performance, including a competitive salary plus a bonus pool and uncapped commission opportunities. You will have the tools to run your outreach efficiently, the autonomy to own outcomes, and support for your health, family, and long-term growth, including generous PTO, paid parental leave, disability coverage, life insurance, and 401(k) with Safe Harbor contribution.

In this position, you will drive outbound prospecting and pipeline generation in the wealth management space, with pull-through support on RFG-sourced deals. You will also take ownership of CRM reporting, collaborate with marketing and RevOps, and use industry data and AI tools to improve outreach targeting and follow-up consistency.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct proactive, high-volume outbound prospecting and cold calling against a defined book of campaigns, channels, and target accounts within wealth management.
  • Source and qualify a minimum of five qualified leads per month through your outbound work and/or leads generated through RFG marketing.
  • Use AssetLink and similar industry data platforms to research prospects, verify Advisor and firm details, and refine outreach targeting.
  • Identify and pursue new channels and distribution opportunities across broker-dealers, RIAs, and other wealth management segments.
  • Support pull-through on RFG-sourced deals in coordination with the National Director, including scheduling demos, preparing follow-up materials, and progressing opportunities toward close.
  • Serve as an execution partner on active opportunities to prevent stalls caused by coordination or follow-through gaps.
  • Build advisor relationships that last across the full sales cycle, not only the initial outreach stage.
  • Maintain clean, accurate, and up-to-date records in HubSpot across your outbound activity and pipeline.
  • Attend weekly 1:1 reviews with clear updates on what is working, what is not, and how you are addressing it.
  • Own your numbers, measured by qualified leads generated, pull-through activity, and pipeline contribution.
  • Partner with marketing and RevOps to create, execute, and assess outreach initiatives and sales campaigns.
  • Provide field intelligence from prospecting to improve targeting, messaging, and campaign performance over time.
  • Leverage AI and automation tools to improve outreach efficiency, quality, and consistency.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in outbound sales, business development, or a client-facing role within financial services (required and non-negotiable).
  • Strong familiarity with broker-dealers, RIAs, and other distribution channels across the wealth management industry.
  • Proven track record with high-volume prospecting and cold calling.
  • Ability to manage a full book of accounts and pipeline within a CRM; HubSpot experience is a plus.
  • Experience collaborating with marketing teams to facilitate and execute sales initiatives.
  • Familiarity with AssetLink, Discovery Data, or comparable industry data platforms (preferred).
  • FINRA licensing (SIE, Series 7, Series 63/65/66) and other industry designations are a plus.
  • Self-directed working style comfortable with owning a full book of business instead of relying on handed-down tasks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for advisor-facing outreach, follow-up, and relationship development.
  • Production-oriented mindset focused on pipeline contribution and qualified leads generated.
  • Collaborative approach with marketing, RevOps, and the National Director while maintaining individual accountability.
  • Demonstrated interest in building a long-term career in business development and relationship management in wealth management.
  • Coachable, prepared for reviews, willing to own misses, and ready to adjust quickly.
  • HubSpot CRM proficiency required or ability to demonstrate rapid platform adoption.
  • AssetLink (or comparable industry data platform experience) preferred.
  • AI tool proficiency with Claude, ChatGPT, or Microsoft Copilot to improve outreach quality, research efficiency, and workflow productivity.
