Job Description

The District Sales Manager oversees a regional sales team in Omaha onsite, driving revenue across assigned territories in collaboration with Branch Managers and the Regional Sales & Marketing Director. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service and profitable district growth within United Rentals.

Responsibilities

Motivate and actively assist Outside Sales Representatives to meet and surpass equipment rental, sales, and total revenue goals
Collaborate with the District Manager and Branch Managers to identify new markets, monitor market trends, assess competition, and address factors impacting profitability
Support Branch Managers in defining sales territories, setting goals, and forecasting for Outside Sales Reps
Coordinate Inside Sales Rep activities, aligning their objectives with those of Outside Sales Reps
Assist Branch Managers with sales blitzes and coordinate other customer-focused events to strengthen relationships and increase district sales penetration
Promote revenue generation from Key Accounts within the district, including National Accounts, Strategic Accounts, and assigned Accounts
Encourage efficient and effective use of Salesforce across the team
Expect approximately 50 percent travel to support district activities

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
7+ years of successful outside sales, sales management, or related leadership experience with proven planning, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities; strong interpersonal communication skills
Proficient computer skills with experience using Salesforce
Demonstrated leadership, customer service, presentation, analytical, and verbal/written communication capabilities
Independent self-starter with structured approach, strong organization, and solid business acumen
Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
At least 50 percent travel expectation

Job Description

Based in Omaha, Nebraska with the option to operate from Des Moines, Iowa, this on-site Industrial and Roofing Business Development Manager role partners with Spectrum Paint Company Inc to drive growth in the industrial and roofing markets across Nebraska and Iowa. You will report to the National Industrial Business Development Manager and will travel to pursue new opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing accounts.

Responsibilities

Research current industry trends and identify opportunities to expand within the industrial and roofing sectors
Share knowledge through ongoing education, networking, events, and presentations
Drive market segment growth by proactively analyzing conditions to increase the customer base
Collaborate with executive leadership and the sales team to meet sales targets and profitability goals
Contribute market intelligence and revenue/margin analysis to strategic planning and the introduction of new products
Provide product recommendations, application guidance, and competitive pricing on coatings for industrial and roofing projects
Grow sales with existing commercial, manufacturing, and business accounts through relationship-based strategies
Regularly update Regional Sales Management on account status and progress
Establish and nurture strong relationships with external partners and internal teams
Meet objectives aligned with the company’s strategic plan
Perform additional tasks and special projects as assigned

Requirements

Solid understanding of Spectrum Paint Company’s products, market position, and competitive landscape
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Future eligibility for NACE CIP LV 1 certification (if not already obtained)
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
History of achieving sales and growth targets
Strong customer relationship management and retention capabilities
Proficiency in product knowledge, presentations, and client relationship building
Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Commitment to ethical behavior and adherence to company policies
Excellent verbal and written communication with negotiation and closing skills
Ability to pass a background and motor vehicle record check
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Territory management experience is a plus
