Job Description

In Knoxville, this on-site role sits at the heart of Great West, an Old Republic Company, as a Business Development Executive focused on building and sustaining regional agency partnerships. The position centers on creating actionable business plans, meeting forecasted goals, and leveraging targeted marketing to drive new agency business while developing current partnerships and maintaining Great West’s digital presence.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee agency relationships and serve as a primary resource and trainer for agency staff on Great West's offerings and procedures.
  • Support agencies in defining production goals and review progress with business partners on a quarterly basis.
  • Cultivate and maintain connections with external associations and groups, sharing pertinent information about Great West.
  • Perform market-share analyses and projections to identify new agency partnership opportunities.
  • Facilitate clear communication among agents, underwriters, and internal departments.
  • Collaborate with the corporate marketing team to plan regional agent meetings, councils, and educational seminars.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of insurance concepts, with exposure to the trucking sector preferred.
  • At least four years of experience in insurance marketing, agency production, sales, underwriting, or claims.
  • Strong communication, time-management, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development in product knowledge and insurance education programs such as AU, CPCU, CIC, CISR, CRM, STAR.

Location

This position is based in Knoxville, TN, onsite at the Knoxville office, and requires up to 75% travel.
