DaVita seeks a Manager or Senior Manager of Business Development focused on Payor Partnerships to lead external development of value-based care collaborations with health plans, driving Integrated Kidney Care growth, strategic analytics, and deal structuring.
Responsibilities
- Drive IKC growth and partnerships by presenting our value-based care models to health plans, translating clinical and financial concepts into compelling collaboration opportunities, and advancing national pipelines, launching a regional platform, and accelerating new partnerships.
- Deepen payor relationships through a sophisticated market engagement strategy, representing DaVita at key industry conferences, networking events, and high-stakes meetings to cultivate partnerships with senior payor executives.
- Refine the external value proposition with best-in-class collateral, including pitch decks, clinical outcomes one-pagers, and white papers to consistently demonstrate differentiated market value.
- Lead strategic analytics and deal structuring by independently shaping analytics for business cases and strategic decision-making, and delivering persuasive presentations to internal executives and external partners.
- Enable the team by enhancing onboarding content, leveraging CRM to track payor milestones, and fostering cross-functional collaboration; mentor analysts through complex deal work.
Requirements
- Five plus years in fast-paced, deal-oriented environments such as healthcare strategy, corporate development, or consulting, with a preference for experience at a top-tier firm, provider, or payor.
- Exceptional executive presence with gravitas and comfort negotiating with and influencing external Director and above payor executives.
- Strong strategic problem-solving skills, capable of bringing structure to ambiguous business challenges.
- Excellent communication abilities with a track record of creating crisp, persuasive, and well-formatted presentations using PowerPoint and Excel.
- High ownership, accountability, and a proactive, results-driven mindset.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or an advanced degree is preferred.

The Business Development function leads long-term payor relationships and growth strategy with a focus on results, creative thinking, and collaboration.
The Role
As a Manager or Senior Manager of Business Development, you will be a highly visible external-facing leader representing DaVita in the market. You will support a pipeline of national and regional payor accounts, advocating for Integrated Kidney Care value-based care models. This role targets a strategic thinker and dealmaker who can directly impact DaVita’s revenue and contribute to the health care system at large.
