Job Description

Mattel Digital Studios is building a diverse portfolio of engaging digital games and apps by leveraging Mattel’s iconic brands and IP. Guided by industry leaders with decades of experience, the team focuses on innovation, execution, and partnerships that create real value. This onsite role in El Segundo, CA supports that mission by helping grow and strengthen the relationships behind our mobile games publishing business.

What you’ll do

As a Business Development Manager, First-Party Partnerships, you will manage developer relations, first-party platform relations, and technology partnerships. You will identify opportunities in the mobile games segment, secure strategic partnerships, and help ensure partner success across Mattel Digital Studios.

  • Identify growth opportunities across the mobile games segment
  • Drive partner success across Mattel Digital Studios
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with game developers, first-party platforms, and technology partners supporting our publishing business
  • Secure internal alignment on deal terms, scope, and commercial models
  • Lead contract negotiations in coordination with executives and legal
  • Develop reports and presentations for key stakeholders
  • Operate an active pipeline of leads aligned with Mattel’s digital portfolio strategy

What you bring

  • 4+ years of professional experience in the mobile games ecosystem
  • Exceptional relationship management and interpersonal skills
  • Strong project management capability with attention to detail
  • Passion for gaming and understanding of global games market trends
  • Proactive mindset: curious, driven to rapidly iterate, and focused on improvements
  • Quantitative and analytical skills with emphasis on data-driven decision-making
  • Strong sense of responsibility and professionalism
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • Strong understanding of mobile game publishing strategies
