Job Description

Apple Pay and Wallet, part of Apple, is building digital identity capabilities for Apple Wallet by partnering with internal teams and external organizations. This Business Development Manager role is based in New York, NY (onsite) and focuses on helping deliver digital identity solutions that enhance the customer experience across Apple Wallet.

You will combine partnership leadership, digital identity expertise, and contract negotiation skills to bring complex initiatives to life. The role also emphasizes professionalism, values-driven collaboration, and empathy while driving outcomes across multiple stakeholders.

What you’ll do

  • Collaborate with product, engineering, business operations, and other internal teams, plus external partners, to deliver strong digital identity experiences in Apple Wallet.
  • Build and maintain collaborative, high-impact relationships with a diverse portfolio of partners involved in digital identity solutions.
  • Own your own initiatives end to end, navigating complexity and ambiguity as projects evolve.
  • Use internal and external relationships to move initiatives forward, while balancing the needs of multiple teams.
  • Communicate clearly verbally and in writing, especially when coordinating with complex stakeholders.
  • Deliver projects through teamwork and manage complicated stakeholders to drive measurable outcomes.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, stay values-driven, and remain obsessed with the customer experience.

What you bring

  • 8+ years experience managing complex partner relationships, ideally involving public sector facing technology implementations.
  • 5+ years experience in digital identity.
  • Significant experience managing contracts as the business lead, including complex negotiations.
  • Experience driving scale through partnerships.
  • Knowledge of identity verification and assurance levels.
  • Proficiency with Apple products and applications.
  • English proficiency; French proficiency is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Working knowledge of the digital identity ecosystem, aligned to Apple’s first party payment products.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, teamwork/collaboration, and organizational skills.

Compensation and benefits

  • Base pay range: $119,700 to $225,600 per year (depends on skills, qualifications, experience, and location).
