Business Development Sales Rep - Equipment Rental
Job Description
Foley Equipment, a family owned equipment solutions provider in Kansas, is seeking an Outside Business Development Sales Representative focused on rental in Gardner. In this role, you will build enduring customer relationships, expand market share within the assigned territory, and drive rental equipment sales through direct client engagement. You will combine strategic outreach with hands-on guidance to help customers choose the right equipment and ensure satisfaction across their rental experience.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and close sales opportunities through direct client meetings and follow-ups.
- Provide exceptional service to foster customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Assess client needs and offer guidance on equipment options.
- Help clients determine equipment specifications to meet site requirements.
- Advise and resolve client questions and concerns.
- Manage CRM usage to log interactions and nurture relationships.
- Travel as needed for training or to support other locations.
Requirements
- Ability to quickly establish rapport and build long-term relationships based on trust and mutual benefit.
- Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to initiate engaging conversations.
- Previous experience in outside sales with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to drive and a valid license required.

What you will do in this role
- Identify and maximize sales opportunities through direct client engagement.
- Deliver top-tier customer service to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
- Analyze client needs and provide guidance on equipment selection.
- Help clients identify equipment specifications to meet unique requirements.
- Counsel clients to address inquiries and resolve concerns.
- Use and manage CRM to track interactions and nurture relationships.

- Valid driver's license and ability to drive.

- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
