Community Liaison
Job Description
Horizon Health is seeking a Community Liaison to grow inpatient psychiatric services across Minnesota and North Dakota. This onsite role in Bemidji sits at the intersection of the facility, the community, and referring agencies, helping to execute the facility’s sales plan and shape its public image across multiple locations, including Bemidji, Fergus Falls, Fargo, Detroit Lakes, and Alexandria.
Location
Onsite in Bemidji, Minnesota. The role supports Horizon Health's inpatient psychiatric services across Minnesota and North Dakota, including Bemidji, Fergus Falls, Fargo, Detroit Lakes, and Alexandria.
Compensation
Salary: USD 55,029.60 - 70,000.00 per year.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate and apply Sales Excellence and Service Recovery standards in daily activities.
- Act as the liaison between the facility and referral sources, implementing service-focused action plans and representing the organization in the community.
- Lead facility tours for key stakeholders.
- Attend Business Development team meetings and provide timely marketing reports, updates, and Service Recovery opportunities to the Director of Business Development.
- Maintain documentation for top accounts, key contacts, planning reports, client profiles, and competitive profiles as required.
- Foster positive relationships with existing referral sources and identify additional sources.
- Maximize field time to maintain a daily average of 8-10 in-person contacts with referral sources about programs, treatment philosophies, outcomes, and satisfaction data.
- Develop and communicate targeted sales messaging for each program and audience.
- Identify and build a strategic sales plan for existing and potential referral sources within the assigned territory and target markets, incorporating relevant research to identify contacts.
- Assess, develop, and implement sales activities approved by the Director of Business Development to maximize market penetration and identify potential accounts in targeted segments.
- Monitor referral inquiries and admissions statistics on a daily basis.
- Analyze the ongoing effectiveness of weekly sales action plans.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends and adjust weekly sales action plans accordingly, offering input on overall business development strategy.
- Ensure positive, timely, and accurate communication across stakeholders.
- Encourage cooperation and use problem-solving skills to strengthen relationships among the facility, referral sources, patients, families, and the community.
- Keep information current in MedSeries 4, MIDAS, and MEDIK, including daily contacts and account details.
- Utilize proprietary reports to plan sales activity effectively.
- Complete required reports and information requests promptly, including expense reports, sales call plans, and post-call follow-up reports.
- Participate in off-hours sales and community activities as needed by the Director of Business Development and facility requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field required; exceptions may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Three years minimum documented experience in referral development, account management, sales growth, and physician relationships preferred, with prior marketing/sales exposure in a behavioral healthcare setting
- Valid driver’s license required.
