Job Description

Handy Chevrolet in Saint Albans, VT seeks an experienced Automotive Sales Manager to guide the dealership's sales team, drive revenue, and oversee finance-related deliveries. This on-site role requires proven automotive sales management experience and the ability to commute for a five-day work week including Saturdays.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of sales representatives to meet or exceed sales targets
  • When needed, finalize finance office paperwork during the sale while maintaining profitability on every deal
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth
  • Oversee inventory control and accurate forecasting to optimize sales and minimize costs
  • Provide exceptional customer service to build lasting relationships and encourage repeat business
  • Apply retail math to analyze sales data and inform business decisions
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Utilize sales management software to monitor performance and manage data
  • Negotiate with customers to meet needs and stimulate sales growth
  • Manage customer interactions from initial contact to sale, ensuring a smooth experience
  • Track leads, manage the sales pipeline, and analyze performance metrics with software tools
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of automotive products and services and apply this knowledge to sales efforts
  • Address customer concerns and ensure their needs are met with high-quality service
  • Collaborate with other sales leaders to share best practices and improve team results
  • Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective customers
  • Use professional phone etiquette to connect with customers and communicate effectively over the phone
  • Meet and exceed sales targets to contribute to business growth
  • Maintain a clean, organized sales environment in line with company policies

Requirements

  • Proven success in retail sales
  • Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and manage a sales team
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience with sales management software and the ability to analyze sales data
  • Experience with finance management and conducting proper delivery processes
