Part-Time Retail Sales Manager

This part-time hourly leadership role supports the store team by delivering an outstanding customer experience and maintaining daily retail operations at Duluth Trading Company. The position emphasizes customer-focused service, team coaching, merchandising standards, and safe, secure store execution.

Compensation

Hourly rate: USD 20 - 21 per hour. Compensation for this specific location is outlined as $20.32 - $21.35/hour and may vary based on location, experience, and qualifications.

Role Responsibilities

• Build strong familiarity with the Duluth brand and maintain comprehensive product knowledge to provide solution-oriented, friendly service while leading the store team to do the same.
• Set service expectations for employees by demonstrating high engagement and service standards in person.
• Manage floor coverage to engage customers and support a consistent Duluth experience.
• Ensure customer profile information is recorded accurately.
• Address customer concerns proactively by providing positive resolutions and making decisions when empowered.
• Maintain merchandise presentation aligned with Visual Merchandising standards, including floor-sets, product messaging, and ensuring the sales floor is customer ready.
• Set up sales and promotions with correct signage and communication.
• Execute and supervise merchandise receipt and transfer handling quickly and accurately, including check-in, hanging, steaming, and visual merchandising.
• Maintain company cleanliness standards across the sales floor, stockroom, restrooms, cash wrap, and hospitality area.
• Provide clear, consistent employee feedback on a regular basis.
• Follow all company guidelines, policies, and programs while modeling a positive example for the team.
• Understand, execute, and train cash-handling and reporting functions.
• Process register functions and ensure they are completed according to store procedures.
• Secure the store and respond to alarms as directed.
• Support employee and customer safety by communicating concerns to the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
• Perform other duties as directed.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Retail experience is preferred but not required.
• Customer centric approach.
