Regional Sales Manager
Job Description
The Regional Sales Manager will report to the VP of Sales and lead growth efforts for medical imaging software and capital sales. The role supports hospitals and clinical institutions by delivering tailored software demonstrations and guiding customers through the full sales process.
Role Overview
This position is responsible for driving sales of an integrated platform that includes Precision 3D medical imaging software and an IR Robotic device used for pre-surgical planning, navigation, and targeting needle placement. The Regional Sales Manager will primarily call on Thoracic and Abdominal Surgeons and Interventional Radiologists. The candidate must reside in the Northeast.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect, identify, and target potential customers, including hospitals, medical centers, and University Healthcare Institutions.
- Assess each customer’s unique needs and challenges, then develop customized solution approaches.
- Present and demonstrate medical software, communicating features, benefits, and competitive advantages.
- Coordinate with marketing and product development teams to remain current on product offerings and market trends.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including surgeons, department managers, procurement professionals, and other decision-makers.
- Manage the sales cycle from prospecting and initial contact through contract negotiation and closing.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and quotations.
- Follow up with clients and provide post-sales support to support customer satisfaction.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify growth and improvement opportunities.
- Provide insights to product development and marketing teams based on customer and market input.
- Attend and present at medical conferences and trade shows.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5 years of prior medical imaging software and device sales experience
- Experience with a start-up organization, or a new division or group within a larger organization, with the ability to succeed in an entrepreneurial environment
- Knowledge of the competitive landscape in Medical Imaging, specifically with Interventional Radiologists and Thoracic Surgeons
- Self-starter who can operate effectively independently and within a team
- Excellent communications skills
Travel Requirements
Travel for this role is required at 40–50%.
Compensation and Draw
Base salary range: $90,000–$100,000 per year, plus a guaranteed draw of $35,000. Compensation is based on experience, education, and relevant skills.
