Research Analyst (Business Development B2G)

Strategic Partnerships, Inc. is seeking a Research Analyst to join our Austin office, supporting a national B2G portfolio with rigorous research deliverables, market and funding analyses, and insights that guide government opportunity pursuit. This role blends analytical rigor with practical guidance, translating complex data into actionable recommendations for clients navigating federal, state, and local opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Generate research deliverables for projects including competitor analysis, market analysis, and other research types
• Conduct opportunity pipeline research for upcoming planned opportunities that have not yet been announced
• Report on federal funding programs
• Perform legislative analysis and compile budget request information
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability using multiple open-source tools, sources, and methodologies
• Identify, quantify, and report on upcoming municipal, county, state, and federal funding planned initiatives
• Present findings in clear language and provide meaningful insights to direct client actions
• Create well-thought-through and organized research deliverables, communicating data and analysis with integration of complex details
• Collaborate effectively within a team environment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience with the SLED market (State, Local and Education) is required
• Kno wledge of the federal government is highly valued
• 1-2 years of professional B2C, B2B, or B2G research experience
• Track record of high-quality briefings, reports, and presentations based on strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to independently navigate complex problems with resourcefulness and resilience, delivering meaningful solutions
• Effective time and task management with solid organizational skills and a goal-oriented mindset
• Comfort and adaptability in a fast-paced environment with the capacity to respond quickly to changing priorities
• Curiosity about the U.S. government marketplace and a desire to apply analytical skills to impactful government-focused work
