Job Description
Responsibilities
- Provide an elevated customer experience while meeting personal sales goals.
- Inspire customers by presenting curated spaces with Joybird's furniture and décor.
- Advise on luxury styling while earning uncapped commissions on Joybird sales.
- Partner with the store manager to lead, motivate, and develop the sales team.
- Aim to meet or exceed store and individual sales targets, operating benchmarks, and personal objectives.
- Model and refine the selling process by guiding floor interactions and evaluating team performance.
- Ensure staff deliver outstanding service to build lasting relationships and customer loyalty.
- Foster a cohesive, high-performing team by recognizing achievements, addressing concerns, and aligning with company values.
- Recruit, train, and mentor staff to meet sales targets while maintaining a positive work environment.
- Champion a branded customer experience by aligning store layout, product presentation, and staff interactions with brand guidelines.
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of the full Joybird catalog to offer personalized styling guidance and product recommendations that fit each customer’s needs, preferences, and space.
- Assist the Store Leader with scheduling and payroll to meet business and company expectations.
- Resolve customer concerns and other operational issues that may affect sales efficiency.
- Support planning and execution of sales promotions and events.
- Ensure proper execution of existing and new systems and administrative procedures.
- Maintain brand visual standards by keeping both staff and customer areas clean.
- Open and close the store in accordance with company procedures.
- Adhere to cash handling procedures and company cash management policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or five years of industry experience with one to three years in a retail-management-focused business unit, or equivalent.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 265, with strong financial understanding, interpersonal communication, analytical skills, goal orientation, team leadership, and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work the hours required by the business, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Summary

Weekly Hours
40 hours per week
Compensation
Base pay: $58,500 - $88,450 annually. Uncapped commission on written sales, with 2% of Joybird sales. A monthly bonus up to $1,500 based on achievement of the annual operating plan written sales target.
Physical Demands / Work Environment
Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds; stand for extended periods; repetitive hand motions; occasional sitting, walking, bending, and stooping; indoor environment; ability to pass a background and drug screen.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or five years of industry experience with one to three years in a retail-management-focused business unit, or equivalent; proficient in Microsoft Office 265, financial understanding, interpersonal communication, analytical abilities, goal orientation, team management, and customer service; ability to work the schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Scope & Impact
This role is responsible for the performance of the retail showroom, with targets currently ranging from $5 million to $8 million annually. It reports to the Store Manager with indirect influence over the sales team.
